Camera-Based Blood Tracking for Deer Recovery
The Blood Tracker inside the HuntIQ Deer Recovery App is designed to help bowhunters, crossbow hunters, muzzleloader hunters, and rifle hunters notice small or faint red and pink blood evidence during a deer recovery attempt.
How the Blood Tracker Works
Local camera-based color analysis marks candidate regions for hunter inspection, not confirmed blood. Similar natural colors can create false positives, and actual blood may be missed. The hunter makes the final determination. Low, Medium, and High sensitivity affect candidate qualification.
Colorblind-Friendly Blood Tracking
Choose six candidate-marker colors — Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, White, Orange, and Red — and four styles — Diamond, Square Box, Triangle, and Crosshair — to find a combination visible to your individual vision. The camera remains natural color. Marker preferences change how candidate areas are displayed, not detection processing. Visibility is not guaranteed for every color-vision deficiency; HuntIQ does not claim medical accessibility certification.
From Candidate Blood to a Saved Recovery
Starting the Blood Tracker camera begins automatic recovery trail recording. Mark Blood and Last Sign, Pause & Save unfinished recoveries, resume paused saved recoveries, use Start Return for guidance along the recorded search route and a separate return leg, and select Recovery Complete to save the finished recovery. Completed recoveries cannot resume. Active recovery data can be restored on the same device while local storage is retained. Contact a Local Tracker when additional help is needed. Not every recovery uses every step.

No Signal? Keep Tracking.
Load HuntIQ online and confirm account access first. With the app cached and valid cached account access, local camera analysis, recovery recording, markers, pause/resume, return guidance, and saved recoveries can work offline. Camera and GPS permissions are required; interruptions may pause GPS updates. Fresh weather, verification, payments, and cloud sync need internet. Maps depend on previously cached supported tiles. State listings can be viewed from directory data included with HuntIQ. Opening provider websites requires internet access. Calling providers requires available phone service.

Important Limitations
The Blood Tracker is a visual aid and does not guarantee that every blood spot will be detected. Red leaves, berries, reflections, bark, and certain lighting conditions may produce false positives. HuntIQ does not guarantee blood detection or deer recovery.
